Protest rally: We are not safe!

As concerned citizens, feminists, girls and women, we invite you to a protest rally this Friday, February 17, from 3:00 p.m., in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

We demand responsibility from the competent institutions, because we do not feel safe in our cities: neither on the streets, nor in classrooms, nor in hospitals, nor at home.
We invite you to express our revolt against the institutions that should protect us from violence, but apparently do not do so.

Police officers have once again proven incompetent and inadequate when it comes to victims of gender-based violence. The latest case of reporting a sexual assault, which became known in the media as "the wild taxi driver who ran away from the police", pointed for the thousandth time to the same lack of institutional support for victims who report gender-based violence. This case is one of many in which we have seen how it is systemically and socially failing when it comes to the safety and well-being of girls and women in the country.
