Adrianna Quena
Adrianna Quena is a Venezuelan gardener and filmmaker based in Barcelona. She studied Language Arts, Documentary Filmmaking and since then explores ecopolitical subjects such as post-extractivism, food justice and political agroecology. Her hybrid work Beyond The Mine, Transition Rumors, etc., propose cinema as an act to spark conversations between loose actors: scientists/peasants, migrants/dream specialists, urban artists/survivalists. She is now an Associated Professor at the Escola Catalana de Cinematografía, a member of the ecofeminist research group La Cuina at the Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA), and postproduces her first long feature fiction hybrid film, Koita.
